If you’re gonna spend most of your days chilling with Netflix at home during this pandemic, at least nibble on snacks with a bit of personality. And with pandamart, you don’t even have to leave your couch to do it. We trawl through its large catalogue of nibbles and round up some of the most fun-sounding options.
We got them within 30 minutes of ordering, too, because there’s a pandamart store near our place. FYI, pandamart also sells booze if you want some alcohol to go with your goodies. If you prefer to eat more healthily, there’s fresh produce too.

Jack and Jill Takoyaki Flavour Potato Chips, $1.40
These “shaker” chips require you to empty a little flavouring packet into the bag and shake them, and they’re worth the extra effort it takes. They’ve got the savoury-sweetness of the brown sauce that comes with Japanese octopus balls down pat, and even managed to replicate the slightly tangy flavour of Japanese mayo. Super yummy coupled with the shatteringly crisp chips.
Seleco Rolling Bite Seaweed Topped with Crispy Durian, $3 a box of eight
Made in Thailand, these are individually wrapped roasted seaweed rolls topped with, get this, little bits of dehydrated durian flakes. The combination is strangely successful. The durian lends a breath of funk that kinda complements the umami notes of the crispy seaweed. These are really addictive, and perhaps our new favourite seaweed snack.
Lipton Teh Tarik Sandwich, $1.60
This features a tea-infused milky ice cream between two soft biscuit slabs. The tea flavour in the ice cream is sharp and strong, very distinctly Lipton. Tastes a bit like teh tarik, too. Meanwhile, the biscuit’s got a nice chewy texture even out of the freezer, and this makes for a pleasant, comforting ice cream sarnie.
Pringles Italian Style Black Pepper & Cheese Potato Chips, $2.70
This is Pringles’s take on Cacio e Pepe, that creamy Italian classic of noodles coated in nothing but Pecorino Romano cheese and black pepper. While it isn’t quite as luxurious, it does have a nice cheesy flavour that’s lifted by a spicy grown-up hit of black pepper that lingers in the mouth. Good with some wine.
Haitai Honey Butter Chip, $2.85
We’ve had the lovely honey butter almonds from the same brand, but weren’t sure how the potato chip version would fare. These are apparently made with real honey and French gourmet butter, and we find ourselves enjoying the intermingling of the sweet, milky honey butter with savoury fried potatoes. Unlike the other chips on this list, the flavours here taste more subtle and natural.
