Netizen Ailing Wong posted photos of the gruesome sight on Facebook group Complaint Singapore, where she wrote: “Chinese Garden MRT… Beware of the hygiene. My friend bought the food from there. Fainted…”

The accompanying photos showed a large dead cockroach atop a bowl of red bean soup. Disturbingly, it resembled the red dates that were also in the dessert, which was apparently bought from an eatery called Chinese Garden Food Shop at Chinese Garden MRT station.
