Signature Colombian Chicken sold cheaper here
Currently, Harvey’s offers only one protein option - Colombian Chicken ($19 for half, $38 whole) - and four sides: Potato Gratin ($4), Pita Bread ($4), Cucumber and Tomato Salad ($4), and Lettuce, Rocket and Arugula Salad ($5). Meanwhile, sauces available include garlic sauce and salsa roja Mexican sauce made with tomatoes, chile peppers, and onions).
The highlight is undoubtedly the Colombian Chicken, which is one of Panamericana’s best-selling dishes. According to Panamericana’s spokesperson, the chicken here is “crafted from a family recipe with a blend of 16 types of spices and sauces marinated over 48 hours”, including paprika, cumin and mustard.
As a comparison, a whole Colombian Chicken at Panamericana costs $64 ($32 for half), versus Harvey’s $38 for a whole chicken.
Why the huge price difference? “While we use the same quality free-range, antibiotic-free chicken as Panamericana, the key difference lies in our preparation method. At Harvey’s, the chicken is pre-cooked for quick service, while Panamericana grills their chicken to order, which involves additional attention and labor. This extra step contributes to the higher pricing,” Panamericana’s spokesperson explains.
She notes that at Harvey’s, the Colombian Chicken is roasted in batches in an oven on-site.
She adds that all the dishes at Harvey’s are prepped fresh on-site daily, and in the near future, customers can look forward to upcoming sides like roasted vegetables and seasonal salads.
Harvey’s is at #01-04/05 CIMB Plaza, 30 Raffles Place, S048622. Open Mon - Fri 11am - 3pm. Closed on Sat & Sun. More info via their website.
