Celeb Hairstylist Addy Lee Opening Dessert Café, Salted Egg Bubble Tea On The Menu

Celeb hairstylist Addy Lee is starting a new venture, this time in F&B. Like Mediacorp host Vivian Lai’s Teabrary takeaway chain, his upcoming shop also sells bubble tea. But the concept is very different — it’s a dine-in “coffee-based” dessert cafe at VivoCity called AfterCoffee, which Addy co-owns with two other biz partners. The 49-year-old tells 8days.sg over the phone in Mandarin that its soft opening is slated for June 15. As the cafe also sells desserts like ice cream, jelly and mango purée, it falls under the list of businesses allowed to open during the initial phase of the circuit breaker’s lift.

But the cafe will start off with offering just takeaway and delivery orders via GrabFood, Deliveroo, Foodpanda and WhyQ to comply with CB measures. Addy, who lives near VivoCity at Sentosa Cove, jests, “We’re not expecting crowds, but if we can’t cope with the delivery orders, I’ll do the Sentosa deliveries myself (laughs).”
