Another Casual Western Eatery To Replace Grub Burger Bistro Space At Bishan Park
Burp Kitchen & Bar, which also sells burgers, secured the coveted spot with a winning bid of “less than 30K” a month.

Burger bistro Grub has found a new home on Stevens Road, after being forced to relocate after nine years in Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park when they were outbid during an open tender. And who might that winner be? Uncannily enough, a casual eatery, also with a pithy name, specialising in unfussy Western fare like burgers and tacos: Burp Kitchen & Bar will open its second outlet in Bishan Park around end-May.
The cafe-and-bar concept has occupied its own slice of greenery on the edge of Bedok Reservoir Park for over six years, where they serve casual fare inspired by “American street food, especially food trucks”, says co-owner Sarah Lim, 32. Like Grub, they also serve a selection of pastas, appetisers and brunch nosh like waffles and French toast.
Burp’s winning monthly rental bid of "less than $30K” a month was "around 20 to 30 percent higher" than their predecessor's bid for the approximately 90-seat space, says Sarah (she declined to give an exact figure).
