Bangkok’s Michelin Bib Gourmand Chicken Rice Shop Go-Ang Pratunam Opening At Nex, Will Cost Three Times More Than In Thailand
It's less than $2 for a plate of chicken rice in the Bangkok outlet.
We Singaporeans love our Hainanese chicken rice, and now here is one more chicken rice shop to check out. Albeit a Thai version. Go-Ang Kaomunkai Pratunam is a Hainanese chicken rice eatery in Bangkok which nabbed a Bib Gourmand mention in this year's inaugural edition of the Michelin Guide Bangkok. The 58-year-old Thai casual joint is popular for its kaomunkai (Thai for “chicken oil rice”), braised pork, homely double-boiled soups and house-made chilli sauce that’s a bit different from the garlicky red one found in Singapore; it’s spiked with black vinegar for extra flavour.
