4 Uniquely Singaporean Snacks To Eat This National Day
Makan chilli crab taco, durian kaya toast, hae bee hiam pasta and more.
The patriotic Kaya Durian Toast ($3.20 for two pieces) from Ya Kun features a layer of pure D24 durian pulp sandwiched between two slices of bread and the brand’s signature coconut-pandan spread. We haven’t tried it, but we’re told it’s “rich and creamy with a hint of bitterness”. Not diet food, obvi.
Available till Aug 9, at all Ya Kun outlets except Ang Mo Kio MRT, Golden Shoe Car Park, Gleneagles Hospital and Singapore Poly. Tel: 6222-4567. www.facebook.com/yakunkayatoasts
