This hilariously named (jin ho mia means ‘a really good life’ in Hokkien) eatery is by the folks behind Thai hotpot place Soi Thai Soi Nice. It offers hearty rice bowls such as Sweet and Sour Chicken Bowl ($13.80) by day (weekdays only) and hotpots by night (all day on weekends). There are three types of hotpot, including the Tok Kong Pot (pictured) which means ‘out of this world’ in Hokkien ($48.80, serves two), with half an Alaskan King Crab, Tiger Prawns and Clams. Choose from soups such as Tomato, Fish or the interesting Cheese broth.
