Toast To The New Year With Bubbly Tea?
Gryphon's elegant sparkling tea might just be the thing for revelling teetotallers.
Swish local tea dudes, Gryphon Tea Company (also behind new tea kiosk Roji Chaseki at Raffles Xchange), recently launched a delightful range of Botanically Cold Brewed Sparkling Teas. There are three flavours: Pearl of the Orient with Lychee, Earl Grey Lavender with Strawberry, and Osmanthus Sencha with Passionfruit.
They’re all cold brewed at 4°C for 12 hours using Gryphon’s signature Artisan Selection tea range, lightly sweetened with fruit juices, then carbonated and stored in sleek glass bottles. Our fave is the lychee one blended with Jasmine green tea and Moroccan rose — it’s intoxicatingly fragrant, with floral whiffs from the fruit, underscored by a gentle effervescence. So fun to drink. Pour it into a champagne flute for a delicious alcohol-free libation when the clock strikes 12 on Jan 1.
Available at www.gryphontea.com, $45.60 for a carton of 12; $3.80 a bottle at selected cafes like The Marmalade Pantry. Visit website for more info.
