Shake Shack Offers DIY Burger Cooking Kit During Covid-19 Lockdown

But only in America, sadly.

Shake Shack Offers DIY Burger Cooking Kit During Covid-19 Lockdown

Much of America — especially New York — is in the midst of a lockdown, thanks to the Covid-19 pandemic. This means restaurants are closed except for takeout or delivery orders. However, not all food fares well via delivery, especially gourmet-ish burgers with beef patties cooked to medium doneness. Such as those from beloved “fine casual” burger chain Shake Shack. It has thus come up with a fun solution: a use-friendly DIY ShackBurger kit for customers to whip up their own SS burgers at home — with an Instagram video cooking guide for reference, too. Alas, this option is only available in the US at the moment — the Singapore arm of the brand tells us it has no plans to offer this DIY option here for now. Instead, the burgers in SG are only available via takeaway at the Neil Road and Jewel Changi Airport outlets, with deliveries also recently offered in selected neighbourhoods via Food Panda (there's no delivery fee!).
