Rainbow Kueh Lapis-Mooncake Hybrid With Pop-Up Moon Goddess In Its Box

The Insta-worthy creation is made by wrapping the nine-layer rainbow kueh lapis in pastel colour-splodged snow skin dough. Coconut milk is added into the lapis batter and snow skin dough for a “milky coconut aroma”. Whether or not the dense, rich, spice-kissed cake pairs well with the mochi-like snow skin is still up in the air — we haven’t tried it yet.

There are also three other lapis mooncake flavour options — cempedak, pandan and their best-selling earl grey. The various flavours are infused into the mooncake’s snow skin and also within the kueh lapis layers. Can’t decide which flavour to get?
