Churros chain Churreria La Lola has just opened its first overseas outlet in Singapore at Clarke Quay. Interestingly, the brand is operated by Spaniards but based in the Philippines, where it has 15 branches. La Lola’s churros are made from scratch and fried upon order using “100 percent olive oil”. The menu has five flavours of churros paired with five different dips — including an exclusive to Singapore pork floss churro, with a cream cheese dip. Besides classic churros, there are chocolate-coated churros, sweet and savory Xuxos (stuffed churros), along with ice cream sandwiches (using churros) and shakes.
