1. Steak And Fireworks At Artemis Grill
There’re no mod Sin plates offered here. But Mediterranean restaurant Artemis Grill at the rooftop of CBD office tower CapitaGreen does offer a dazzling view of the fireworks on August 9. And it will be serving four exclusive a la carte dishes just for National Day, including a Whole Roasted Organic Chicken ($62) and Barbecued Spicy Pork Presa (Iberian pork shoulder, $68). Or choose something from the regular menu, like premium Scottish Tenderloin ($62) that’s been dry-aged for 45 days and served with potato purée, caramelised pearl onions and red wine sauce.

2. Local Buffet Brunch At Beach Road Kitchen
Celebrate National Day like a Singaporean, and by that we mean by tucking into a sumptuous buffet featuring some of our most iconic local makan. JW Marriott’s Beach Road Kitchen is serving a National Day Brunch ($108 per pax without alcohol; $178 with booze). It offers all-you-can-eat Chilli Crabs, Salted Egg Prawns and Suckling Pig alongside other crowd-pleasers such as roast chicken rice and seafood laksa. Wash down the nosh with free-flow teh tarik and bandung, or, for the drinkers, locally-inspired martinis. Oh, and if your birthday falls on National Day, you get to dine for free.
