Chef Of Private Diner Casa Nostra Locked Down In Italy With S’porean Family
Antonio Miscellaneo talks about life in the Covid-19 epicentre of Europe.
In Singapore, Italian-born Singapore PR Antonio Miscellaneo, 47, is famously known among foodies as the pizza wizard of private diner Casa Nostra, which he operates from his Joo Chiat apartment. But right now, the former IT architect for Credit Suisse and video game programmer at Sony Psygnosis is cooking under very different circumstances. He’s trapped with his Singaporean wife and two kids in his hometown of Belluno, a town in the Veneto region of northern Italy near Venice, where Antonio has been since February (back when the Covid-19 virus had not yet surfaced there) to work on a short-term IT project. The death toll of Covid-19 victims in Italy is a staggering 7,503 to date, with over 74,000 tested positive for the virus. He shares his experience under lockdown in Italy exclusively with 8 DAYS.
