There’s a new dish at actress Cassandra See’s Korean hawker stall in Geylang Bahru, Hungry Korean, and it’s been winning over diners in the neighbourhood. The Pork Rib Collagen Soup, or “Korean bak kut teh”, as she calls it, is a twist on the local favourite.

Cassandra had initially came up with it to attract more senior citizens to her stall. “Even though my stall has been here for six months, a lot of the elderly residents have not tried my food ‘cos they are not familiar with Korean cuisine. They think all Korean food is sour and spicy like kimchi, and don’t dare to try it, so I created this dish for them,” the 50-year-old tells 8days.sg.

Other than pork rib soup, Hungry Korean specialises in “home-style” Korean nosh like rice bowls, ramyeon, burgers, and stews.
