Bishan’s Kim San Leng Kopitiam Reopening With Chef Wei HK Cheong Fun Outlet
The coffeeshop, which was closed for a revamp, will also house a new King of Fried Rice branch.
After closing briefly for a facelift, Bishan’s popular Kim San Leng kopitiam will soon reopen for business. The revamped coffeeshop also houses two new famous stall tenants, Chef Wei HK Cheong Fun and King of Fried Rice, which are opening tomorrow (Dec 23).
24-hour kopitiam
A banner at the front of the kopitiam announced that it will be opening at the “end of Dec”. It will also resume its round-the-clock operations.
Chef Wei HK Cheong Fun
Bishan is the eighth outlet for Chef Wei HK Cheong Fun, which was started by ex-Peach Garden chef Thoo Chang Wei in July this year at Bedok Town Centre. He quickly gained a reputation for his silky handmade cheong fun, and expanded to more heartland locations like Jurong West, Clementi, Marsiling and Ang Mo Kio. He plans to open 12 outlets eventually.
King of Fried Rice
The ubiquitous fried rice chain best known for its pork chop fried rice has 19 outlets in Singapore now, including a stall at Ion Orchard’s Hawkers’ Street.
Other stalls to expect
Other than chee cheong fun and fried rice, you can also expect stalls like yong tau foo chain Koo Kee Yong Tow Foo Mee, Srisun Prata, Million Fishball Noodle, Ming Kee Chicken Rice as well as House of Braised Duck.
The rojak stall is still around
Kim San Leng Bishan’s popiah and rojak stall is also still around, and will sell nonya kueh too.
