Foodie Friday: What The Stars Ate This Week (Nov 20-27)
All the photos that made us hungry this week.

This week, both Joanne Peh and Fann Wong's munchkin Zed decided to express their adoration for their loved ones in the most delicious way they know; Chantalle Ng and her My Star Bride co-stars met up for mookata; and Michelle Chia loved her mao shan wang dessert so much that she practically devoured it in seconds. Read on for more.

Joanne Peh
What she ate: Handmade pies
Yummy factor: Joanne decided to surprise hubby Qi Yuwu with a homemade pie for his homecoming, and she ended up learning two yummy versions. We wonder if she baked him the truffle mushroom pie or a seafood one? Either way, we bet he loved every chunky bite of it, as well as the subtle declaration of love carved into it.

Thomas Ong
What he ate: Grilled pig skin
Yummy factor: As if pig skin wasn't yummy enough, Thomas has discovered an even more delicious way to prepare it — first by boiling it and then gilling the cooked skin to melt-in-the-mouth perfection. And he has MasterChef Singapore finalist Aaron Wong to thank for the culinary hack.

Zed Lee
What he ate: Handcrafted burger
Yummy factor: Aspiring little chef Zed Zed donned his chef’s hat and apron and whipped up what looks like a Macanese-style pork chop bun for mummy Fann Wong and she couldn’t be more happy that he likes to experiment in the kitchen like she does.

Mark Lee
What he ate: Lobster
Yummy factor: Staying home isn't so bad when you can still have delicacies delivered piping hot to your doorstep. In fact, during their stay-home notice period, Mark and his wife, who have just returned from his first Golden Horse outing, indulged in lobster, fish and chips, teriyaki chicken, seafood pasta and more from Tittle Tattle. Not too shabby at all.

Michelle Chia
What she ate: Mao shan wang cake
Yummy factor: Apparently, Mema Baker's durian log cake — made with premium mao shan wang, no less — was so delicious that Michelle polished off her first creamy slice in seconds. If that doesn't tempt you to try it for yourself, we don't know what will.

Yvonne Lim
What she ate: Huat kueh
Yummy factor: The mini huat kuehs by Yvonne may just be the cutest ones we’ve seen in a while. And the colourful gifts for Number 1 director Ong Kuo-Sin, whose film won Best Makeup & Costume Design at last week's Golden Horse Awards, are made all the more meaningful with decorative words of encouragement, and also because she had to try multiple times before finally getting them right!

Fiona Xie and Sonia Chew
What they ate: Carb feast
Yummy factor: Check out the spread Fiona and Sonia shared with friends over drinks at Lucali BYGB, an offshoot of the famed restaurant in Brooklyn. The tomato-based Spicy Rigatoni pasta caught our eye, as well as the signature 18-inch Pizza Pie — they definitely over-ordered for four petite ladies.

Priscelia Chan
What she ate: Little Twin Stars desserts
Yummy factor: Kiki and Lala fan Priscelia checked out the Little Twin Stars pop-up cafe where she indulged her sweet tooth in 'gram-worthy pastel treats. We've got our eye on that Kiki Fluffy Cloud Vanilla Frappe, an ice blended vanilla flavoured drink topped with a cotton candy cloud.

Chantalle Ng
What she ate: Mookata
Yummy factor: Together with Edwin Goh, Cynthia Koh and her mum Lin Meijiao, Chantalle grilled everything from meats to enoki and oyster mushrooms and crab sticks at Chew Chor Meng’s 888 Mookata — a sizzlin’ meal made all the more satisfying on a rainy day.

Ben Yeo
What he ate: Chilli crab cake
Yummy factor: Together with Susanne Ng from Deco Chiffon Cakes, Ben baked a chiffon cake in the shape of a crab — complete with pincers and fried mantou lookalikes. And the similarities don’t stop there — it’s stuffed full with chilli crab gravy that oozes out as it’s sliced open. How cute and festive!

Chen Xiuhuan
What she ate: Prawn mee
Yummy factor: The gloomy weather has made celebs like Xiuhuan crave for all things warm and hearty, like prawn mee. Xiuhuan made her own from scratch, and got generous with the ingredients as usual — think plenty of huge prawns, meaty ribs, thick slices of fish cake and sinful fried lard. If you’re interested, Xiuhuan shared the recipe on her Instagram account.

Candyce Toh
What she ate: Sweet treats
Yummy factor: We all have our own guilty indulgences, and Candyce’s is probably all things sweet — she rewarded herself after a long day at work with heavily-spiked tiramisu layered with mascarpone cheese, as well as crunchy almond cookies from her friend’s upcoming home-based bakery, That One Lor.

James Seah
What he ate: Dim sum
Yummy factor: James had a dim sum buffet at Empress with his fiancee Nicole Chang Min to celebrate the wrap of his drama Mind Jumper and they had everything from the usual siew mai to seafood and spinach dumplings, king prawn dumplings in superior broth and sticky date longan pudding. Well... They say you're what you eat — we bet he felt stuffed like a dumpling after!

Sora Ma
What she ate: Pancake platter
Yummy factor: Sora definitely didn’t hold back when it came to her brunch at Hoshino Coffee — check out her potent hearty pancake stack paired with golden-brown tater tots, fluffy omu souffle and tender Angus steak. Oishii!

Belinda Lee
What she ate: Brazilian-inspired eats
Yummy factor: Nothing raises Belinda’s spirits up like a meal with her hubby after a busy morning. Also, they loved The Butcher’s Wife so much that they went back again, opting to try new dishes like the Dadinhos de Sago (tapioca and cheese dices), served with dragon fruit chutney, and the grilled octopus with cassava puree, white kimchi and grilled broccolini. And dessert was the perfect combination of warm chocolate cake with caramel-miso ice cream and nuts.

Pornsak
What he ate: Steamboat
Yummy factor: The feast-ivities have started for Pornsak, who happily swished slices of abalone in boiling broth for his steamboat dinner. That, plus plenty of comfort food like crab sticks, luncheon meat and fish balls probably made it a shiok meal for him.

Jamie Yeo
What she ate: Japanese hand rolls
Yummy factor: Date night saw Jamie and her hubby Rupert indulging in Izakaya-style bar snacks, Japanese hand rolls and plenty of sake at pop-up handroll bar Rappu, and she was so stoked about the sake pairings. Her recommendations? Go for the Engawa (flatfish) hand roll, which is seared to perfection. Otherwise, try the premium hand roll High Roller and take your pick between wagyu and toro (tuna belly) if you're feeling fancy.

Jade Seah
What she ate: Prawn mee
Yummy factor: Jade also had her fix of prawn mee, except hers was the dry version from Adam Road Food Centre, which she found pretty pricey at $6. And although she cleaned out her bowl, it could have been because they weren’t as generous with the ingredients as Chen Xiuhuan was for her homemade version!

Felicia Chin
What she ate: Afternoon tea
Yummy factor: Feli spent an idyllic afternoon at East Coast Commune, and we can’t help but notice her glowing skin. Well, perhaps that’s what having a nice cup of hot tea, pastries and heart-to-heart conversations with a good friend can do for you.

Nick Shen
What he ate: Vegetarian food
Yummy factor: Nick’s meal from home-based Redhill Vegetarian Kitchen may be meat-free, but it looks no less appetising. Think ban mian served dry with iron-rich spinach and assorted mushrooms, chwee kueh topped with chye poh and even snow fungus with peach gum and coconut flesh.

Jean Danker
What she ate: Grain bowl
Yummy factor: Jean's grain bowl looks so wholesome and delish that even her dog Biscuit seems to be eyeing it. Well, with two molten onsen eggs and what looks like grilled chicken with pesto atop fluffy white rice, it sure looks yummy.
