Bryan Wong Was ‘Secretly Nervous’ & Had ‘Wobbly Hands' Cooking At His First Restaurant Pop-Up
“The only bit that really stressed me out was the ability to fill up seats,” says the actor-host of his two-day cooking stint at a gastropub. So was it full-house?

Over the weekend, some fans had the chance to taste Mediacorp artiste Bryan Wong’s cooking for the first time. The 53-year-old celeb, who hosts food show Old Taste Detective (S5 starts in Nov), held his first ever restaurant pop-up in collaboration with Timothy Ong, the chef-owner of hip craft beer bar gastropub In Bad Company.
The exclusive pop-up ran for only two days on 19 and 20 October, with Bryan whipping up lunch and dinner tasting menus serving European dishes inspired by his travels, like foie gras and Venetian anchovy tagliatelle.

Nonetheless, he regards this two-day stint as a check off his bucket list. “One more item off my bucket list. I’m happy to have collaborated with the fantastic team from In Bad Company — a big thank you to them and all for making my dream come true,” he says.
