Forget sending mum plain old flowers, give the woman a bouquet of satay. Deliveroo has partnered Michelin Bib Gourmand winner New Ubin Seafood for this hilarious, tasty-looking bouquet of 12 sticks of chicken satay, complete with whole onions, cucumber, pineapple — as well as a few flowers thrown in for kicks. If you’re worried about pesticides — know that each satay is wrapped in plastic and the satay sauce will be packed separately. If ma is vegetarian, get her the more boring Avocado Bouquet instead, which comes with eight whole avocados and flowers. However, these cute edible gifts are available only through the Deliveroo app for people living in the Katong area. Boo.
Available for pre-order from May 12. Key in ‘Edible Bouquets’ in the Deliveroo app. The bouquets will be delivered on Mother’s Day (May 13) between 6pm-9pm.

Table by Rang Mahal, $37.50 per pax (for every four diners, one dines for free)
The casual spinoff of North Indian fine-diner, Rang Mahal. The 50-seater, serving contemporary Indian food within Naumi Hotel, is offering a Mother’s Day Set Menu for lunch and dinner (both $50 per pax). And there’s a good promo: for every four diners, one person gets to dine for free. The three-course meal kicks off with a Chilli Cheese Kulzza, melted cheddar topped with garlic chilli on pita bread. For mains, choose from two options: Murg Angar and Tandoori Prawn, which features tandoor-grilled chicken and tiger prawns in a yoghurt and chilli marinade, or the Tandoori Paneer Tikka and Tandoori Mushroom, button mushrooms in herbed spice yoghurt, with house-made cottage cheese and yoghurt marinade. The mains will be accompanied by side dishes like Gobi Matter, cauliflower tossed with peas, ginger and coriander, and Dal Tadkewali, lentils mixed with onion, tomato, cumin and coriander. The third course is dessert, of course: a decidedly non-Indian Walnut Brownie topped with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce.
