Tony Leung to make his reality show debut

A programme by Jiangsu Television, the variety show, Shi Kong Bai Du Ren, is an original creation that is related to the auteur’s latest silver screen production, The Ferryman (or Bai Du Ren in Mandarin), which is written and directed by Zhang Jiajia and stars Tony, Takeshi Kaneshiro, Angelababy and former EXO band member Luhan.

Said a representative working on the reality show, “If not for our close working relationship with Wong Kar-wai, this programme wouldn’t happen.”

According to Hong Kong reports, Tony’s wife, Carina Lau, is also believed to have a hand in contributing to Tony’s first reality show appearance. After all the 51-year-old publicly joked about “paving a way” for her husband in the reality-TV world after she appeared on popular reality programme, Up Idol 2 (or Ou Xiang Lai Le in Mandarin), which marked screen legend Brigitte Lin’s comeback on TV last year.
