Ruby Lin, Wallace Huo set to tie the knot this month

Celebrity star couple Ruby Lin and Wallace Huo, who first revealed their relationship on Confession Day (May 20) this year, after much speculations from the fans of the longtime friends, are getting married.

The couple was last spotted at Sandy Lam’s concert last month, where Wallace was seen holding Ruby protectively, seemingly afraid that she might fall. Wallace’s protectiveness over Ruby then began fanning rumours that the 40-year-old was expecting.

This afternoon, Wallace’s father announced that the lovebirds will be getting hitched in Bali, Indonesia at the end of the month. However he refused to reveal any more details about their big day, commenting that he wanted to leave the big announcement to the youngsters.

Finally, a few hours later, both Wallace and Ruby’s individual work studios posted an announcement on their Weibo accounts, confirming the rumours regarding their nuptials.

Wallace’s work studio first broke the news, writing, “Today, [I] received many queries from my friends. Yes, I am getting married to Ruby, thank you for your concern!”, while Ruby’s work studio wrote, “Yes, Wallace ge and Ruby jie are getting married, thank you for your concern, everyone.”

Insiders have also revealed that the couple had initially planned for a 2017 wedding, but Ruby had gotten pregnant unexpectedly, thus, the couple decided to push forward their wedding date.

Ruby and Wallace first worked together on the 2006 drama, Sound of Colours, and have remained fast friends since, with Ruby casting Wallace as the male lead for the 2011 drama, The Glamorous Imperial Concubine, which she both produced and starred in. Ruby was also rumoured to be in a relationship with Taiwanese actor-singer Jerry Yan earlier this year, which she denied.
