Angelababy wants children in the Year of the Monkey
Actress says a twin boy and girl ideal
Hong Kong–based actress and model Angelababy, 26, said she hopes to have children in the new lunar year and that a twin boy and girl would be best.
She added that she and her husband, Chinese actor Huang Xiaoming, 38, had known each other for a long time before they wed, so they were ready for children.
Xiaoming’s mother once said she was expecting six grandchildren from Angelababy, and the actress said, “I’m happy with two or three, and I have no preference between boys and girls — I like them both.”
While attending a Chinese New Year event in Hong Kong, her first public appearance in the territory after she got married, Angelababy said she had attended the annual event for the past eight years. To keep the tradition going, she made time for it despite having to rush off to Shanghai for filming.
Angelababy received gifts from children during the event and hugged two actors dressed up as the God of Fortune. She then picked up a child one of the actors was holding.
She married Xiaoming last October in a S$43 million ceremony dubbed “the wedding of the century.”
