Andy Lau impersonator surfaces on social media
His agency released an emergency clarification to deny that he has started a new Instagram account
Andy Lau shared a rare photo of his family recently, with many fans rejoicing over the ‘family portrait’ even though only Andy, his wife Carol Chu and daughter Hanna’s hands were visible in the snap.
Captioned with, “Having a meal outside as a family! Filled with happiness! That made me think of you guys! Be happy!” the post was shared on his official site, Andy World Club Limited.
On the same night, an Instagram account with the handle 927andy posted the photo with the exact same caption, which led many fans to assume that it was Andy’s personal account. The account has a total of 39 posts and has garnered over 28,000 followers at press time.
In response to the fresh wave of speculation that the account belongs to the Heavenly King, his company has stepped forward to clarify that Andy does not have an Instagram nor Facebook account, and that he only communicates with his fans via his official site.
