Yet another celebrity has been accused of violating pandemic prevention measures.

Hongkong singer Joey Yung, who was in Shanghai for a fashion event on June 18, has been accused of allegedly breaking quarantine rules after arriving in the city. All international travellers are required to undergo a mandatory 14-day quarantine upon arrival in China.

Netizens began speculating that Joey had flouted quarantine rules after she Instagrammed pics of her 41st birthday celebration in Shanghai on June 17. She was celebrating with celeb pals Gillian Chung and Charlene Choi, as well as her manager Mani Fok.

However, just 10 days prior to that on June 7, Joey had posted photos and videos of herself out and about in Hongkong. She'd visited singer Leo Koo at home, and went out with her niece in HK.

Eagle-eyed netizens noticed that there were just 10 days between the Hongkong and Shanghai posts, and wondered if Joey had served the 14-day quarantine in China. Some believed that she had received “special treatment”.
