Controversial Malaysian singer Namewee, 38, is fighting hard to recover his nearly 1,000 videos after his YouTube channel was hacked on Monday (Apr 4).

The channel, which boasts 3.27 million subscribers, was wiped clean and its name was changed from “Namewee” to a Russian sentence which translates to "He's gay, f*** your mother".

The singer’s manager said his team has reached out to YouTube for assistance in restoring the music videos and comments. The channel, which was started in 2006, has amassed some 1.4 billion views.
