Gigi Lai, 50, and 65-year-old billionaire Patrick Ma’s relationship has had its fair share of naysayers, but the couple has proven them wrong time and time again.
They celebrated their 13th wedding anniversary on Jan 18, and Gigi posted a rare pic of them together to mark the occasion.
She also wrote a heartfelt message where she shared her thoughts on her marriage. ”Maintaining a relationship is like growing plants. You have to water them with love so that they grow up strong and bear fruits, " she wrote. "13 years of marriage isn’t short nor long. Thank you for being willing to tend to and add nutrients [to our relationship].”
Gigi continued: “Even though I might say that you’re naggy, but I know how meticulous, loving and protective you are of me. You know I like flowers, so you personally prepare the most beautiful bouquet for me every year. Thank you for giving me 13 years of happiness. Happy anniversary to us!”
Gigi, who was one of TVB's top actresses, quit showbiz in 2008 to take over her brother’s skincare biz after a car accident left him partially paralysed.
Patrick reportedly got to know Gigi during this period and he was the one who helped her navigate her way in the world of business.
