Fans Defend Joey Wong After Haters Say The 54-Year-Old’s “Age Is Starting To Show” In Her Latest Selfie

For the past few years, comments about Joey Wong have usually consisted of effusive praise about the erstwhile screen siren’s youthful beauty… until now.
Recently, the 54-year-old, who is now based in Canada, shared a selfie with her dog on Baidu Tieba — reminder that it’s the only public social media account she has — to wish her fans a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
She hasn’t forgotten her fans
Media reports noted that even though Joey appears to be barefaced in the #nofilter photo, she still exudes her famous “fairy-like aura” thanks to her “fair and flawless skin” and “captivating eyes”.
Many netizens agree, judging from adoring remarks such as: “Undefeated beauty”, “So pretty, she’s completely ageless”, “You are even more beautiful now”, and “The eternal goddess has appeared”.

On the other hand, some folks decided to go down a more negative route and age-shame Joey instead by pointing out that her “age is starting to show” and lamenting about how “the years don’t spare anyone”.
Fortunately, there were many who quickly came to her defense and fought back by saying more sensible things like: “Who doesn't age?” and “So what if she has gotten older? The fact that the goddess has managed to maintain herself like this at her age is already very impressive”.
Others also said that Joey now gives off a more “mature charm” and that she hasn’t become less attractive compared to when she was at her peak in her younger years.
