Dads dine for free on Father’s Day at this bistro. Okay, you need to order a minimum of two other main courses, but dad gets a Double Decker Burger (usual price $20) with two beef patties, mayonnaise chilli sauce and grilled balsamic onions nestling between house-made sesame seed buns, plus a side of fries. Brotzeit has rolled out a good value Father’s Day Beer Pass at $50 for five pints (these beers usually cost between $13.50-$14.50 per pint). But no worries if Dad isn’t planning to down five pints at one go; the booze can be redeemed on separate visits anytime till Aug 31, and the pass holder can share his beers with other people. Choose from five types of German draught beers, including the Veltins Pilsner (usual price $14). Pair it with savoury bites like Brotzeit’s signature Crispy Pork Knuckle ($39) and Deep Fried Sea Bass ($28).
